Â鶹´«Ã½-PERSIA (Persian Students International Association) will conduct a memorial for the victims of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, on Kaufman Mall in front of Webb University Center on the campus of Â鶹´«Ã½.
All 176 passengers and crew were killed when the plane was shot down by an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran missile.
Speakers will include President John R. Broderick; Roya Ardalan, faculty advisor of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Persia Students International Association; John Ford, professor and Eminent Scholar in the Department of Marketing; Robert Wojtowicz, vice provost and dean of the Graduate School; Mohammad Najand, Iranian faculty member; and the Rev. Canon Win Levis, rector of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Candles will be lit in memory of the victims to close the ceremony.
